If matter acting on matter for a sufficient period of time can create anything, then I should be able to go out to the Mountains of Colorado and find naturally-occurring computers, cameras, and cell phones. As we've seen, those inorganic devices are much less complex than a "simple" organic bacterium. Yet, most people would find my statement to be "silly" at best. Why? Whether organic or inorganic, the complexity and design is obvious.
To take this concept to a simple level, I examined the watch on my wrist (mine is digital). I contemplated the interdependent system of silicon chips, wires, and LED displays? Actually, by today's technological standards, that's a pretty simple device. However, is there any question that it was created by a group of designers, handed off to a team of mechanical engineers, and then placed into production by a team of automation specialists?
Then I took a minute to look at the wrist under my watch. I've grown comfortable with its apparent simplicity. I looked closer at the skin and hair follicles. I touched them. I thought about the nerves that just told my brain to synthesize that touch. Then I focused more closely and pondered the microscopic makeup of each of my cells. I imagined the complex cellular city at work, and contemplated the wonder of my brain that allowed me to imagine such a thing. I thought about the veins just under the surface of my skin. I thought about my heart pumping oxygenated blood through those veins to keep my wrist and hand alive. I thought about my lungs as they inflated, deflated, and processed that oxygen for my heart.
Then I flexed my hand. I pondered the miraculous communication effort that occurred in a milli-second. I created a thought -- my brain processed the subconscious instruction and translated it into a task for my body -- my nervous system delivered that task to my wrist - and my wrist performed the task perfectly. I never really thought about what just happened? How does an interconnected system like that evolve gradually and randomly over time?
It goes on and on... My digestive tract -- How did that evolve gradually over millions of years? Without processed energy, how would my earliest, evolving ancestors even exist? My part in a two-part reproductive system -- Come on, how did that evolve randomly over millions of years through natural selection and genetic mutation? How do you pass on new and improved genetic traits without the means to reproduce in the first place? I was finally thinking about these things!
So, out of all this, I developed a new thesis for my view of life... We need to drop our preconceived notions. Dump our presuppositions. Just meditate on this material with an impartial mind. Does this stuff have "metaphysical" implications? Sure. But why should that deter us from logically examining the evidence? Where did we get the notion that science and technology somehow have to exist in a naturalistic vacuum? That's not true science. True science is observing the evidence, creating a hypothesis, and testing that hypothesis through various means. Philosophical presuppositions have no place in true science. If science reveals things outside the bounds of known physics, then science should be applauded for its impartial contribution to philosophical and metaphysical thought.

'ढिलो गए अवश्य पुगिन्छ, चाँडो गए भन्न सकिँदैन ।' नेपालमा हुँदा यो वाक्यांश देख्न र सुन्न पाइन्थ्यो । यसो हेर्दा ढिलो हिँड्दा ढिलै पुगिन्छ र चाँडो हिँडे पो चाँडै पुगिन्छ भन्ने अर्थ लाग्न सक्छ । तर यसको अर्थ गहिरो छ, जुन सुरक्षित यात्रासँग सम्बन्धित छ । अर्थात् चाँडो वा द्रुत गतिमा हिँड्दा के हुन्छ के अनुमान गर्न सकिँदैन । ढिलो अर्थात् सजिलै नियन्त्रण गर्न सकिने गति नै सुरक्षित छ अनि यात्रा सुरक्षित भए पो जहाँ पनि पुगिन्छ नत्र के भन्न सकिन्छ र । वास्तवमा सुरक्ष्ाित यात्रा विश्वभरकै सबाल हो । हामी नेपालमा होऔं वा विदेश जहाँ पनि यसमा जोड दिएको पाउँछौं । त्यसमा पनि सवारी यातायातको विकास भएको सहर बजारमा त अझै बढी ध्यान दिनुपर्ने हुन्छ ।
यतिबेला हामी इस्लाम धर्मको पवित्र महिना रमजानको माहोलमा छौं । यो महिनामा धार्मिक कार्यक्रमका अलावा ट्राफिक सचेतना पनि उत्तिकै महत्त्वपूर्ण कार्यक्रमका रूपमा आएको छ । त्यसैले पनि के भन्न सकिन्छ भने ट्राफिक सचेतना कति महत्त्वपूर्ण रहेछ । कतारको एउटा परोपकारी संस्था शेख थानी बिन अब्दुल्ला फाउन्डेसनद्वारा अगस्ट १३ मा प्रवासी नेपाली मुस्लिमका लागि दोहामा आयोजित बहृत् इफ्तारमा पनि यो ट्राफिक कार्यक्रम छुटेन । गत वर्ष पनि राफले आयोजना गरेको यस्तै इफ्तारमा पनि यो समावेश थियो । श्रव्यदृश्यको माध्यमबाट सुरक्ष्ाित सवारी सञ्चालन र असुरक्ष्ाित सञ्चालन, सुरक्षात्मक उपाय र ट्राफिक नियम उल्लंघनबारे दिइएको जानकारीले चालक र यात्रु दुवैलाई घच्घचाएको छ ।
यस्तै इफ्तारको समय हुन लाग्दा गाडीको स्पिड बढी हुने र त्यसले दुर्घटना निम्त्याएको भन्दै सवारी चालकहरूलाई जानकारी दिन ट्राफिक विभागसहितका संस्थाहरूले चालकलाई इफ्तार खाजा र सुरक्षासम्बन्धी सामग्री प्रदान गरेका छन् । उनीहरूले इफ्तार समय पूर्व इन्टरसेक्सनमा वितरण गरेर रमजानको समयमा सेफ ड्राइभिङ अभियानै चलाएका छन् । यसरी जताबाट हेर्दा पनि यसको महत्त्व कस्तो छ भन्ने प्रस्टै देखिन्छ ।
वास्तवमा ड्राइभिङ कला र पेसा हो, जुन चलाउन निश्चित मान्यता आवश्यक हुन्छ । यसको नियम कानुन र सञ्चालनका तरिका ध्यान दिनुपर्ने हुन्छ । तर नयाँ चालक आत्तिने र पुराना चालकले अलि हेलचक्र्याइँ गर्ने गरेका उदाहरण पनि छन् । ट्राफिक जानकारहरू के भन्छन् भने ड्राइभिङको बेला घरपरिवार वा अरू कुरा सोच्ने होइन, आफ्नो बाटो सोच्ने हो । फरक ठाउँमा आउँदा र घरपरिवारबाट टाढा हुँदा परिवारको सुख, दुःख, पीर चिन्ता वा सम्झना हुनु स्वाभाविक हो । तर ड्राइभिङ यस्तो पेसा हो, जहाँ आफ्नै अगाडिको बाटो अनि अरू चालक र पैदलयात्रुको अवस्थामा ध्यान दिनैपर्छ । त्यसैले ड्राइभिङ पेसा हो, जसका लागि सैद्धान्तिक ज्ञान, व्यावहारिक सीप, दक्षता, कला र यसको नियम कानुनबारे जानकारी हुनैपर्छ ।
आफ्नो गाडीको कन्डिसन थाहा पाउने, सिट बेल्ट बाँध्ने, मोबाइलको प्रयोग नगर्ने त सामान्य जानकारी नै भए । धेरैलाई राउन्ड अबाउट -घुम्ती चक्र) आएको बेला मोबाइलमा कुरा गर्दा समस्या पर्छ । ल नर्मल अवस्थामा त केही नहोला भन्ने मानौं तर फोन गर्नेले के कुरा गर्छ भन्ने त थाहा हुँदैन । अकस्मात कुनै विस्मात, हर्ष वा पीडाका कुरा सुनायो भने त त्यसको असर चालकलाई पर्छ र सन्तुलन गुम्छ अनि त्यसले दुर्घटना निम्त्याउँछ ।
मदिरा सेवन पनि दुर्घटनाको अर्को कारण हो । हुनत यहाँ मदिरा सेवनको निश्चित नियम छ, जसका लागि निश्चित आय र स्थान तोकिएको छ, यो आफैंमा सराहनीय छ । जसले ट्राफिक दुर्घटना रोक्न मद्दत गरेको छ । नेपालमै पनि चालकलाई मदिरा नपिऊँ त सबैले नभल्ना तर सबैले भन्न पर्ने कुरा के हो भने मदिरा पिएर सवारी चालाउनु हुँदैन । किनकि मदिराको जोसले होस गुमाइदियो भने त बर्बाद भैगो नि !
समस्या पैदलयात्रुहरूको पनि उत्तिकै छ । जुन समस्याले कैयौं यात्रुले ज्यानसमेत गुमाएका
छन् । यसमा झन् धेरै होसियारी आवश्यक छ । नेपाल र यहाँ गाडी गुड्ने ट्रयाक फरक भएकाले पनि धेरै नेपाली यात्रु झुक्किने गर्छन् । अनि ट्राफिक सिग्नलमा ध्यान नदिँदा पनि दुर्घटनामा निम्तिएका छन् । विचारै गर्ने हो भन्ने हो भने यहाँ गाडी चलाउनभन्दा बाटो काट्न गाह्रो छ । त्यसैले यसमा पनि ट्राफिक नियमसँगै होसियारीको आवश्यकता छ । जस्तो कि बाटो काट्ने ठाउँमा पैदलयात्रुको रातो बत्ती देखाएको बेला काट्नु भएन, बाटो काट्न हरियै बत्ती
कुर्नुपर्यो । बाटो काट्न सजिलो होस् भनेर कुनै ठाउँमा हरियो बत्तीका लागि पोलमा बटन राखिएको हुन्छ, त्यसलाई थिच्दा पनि हरियो बत्ती आउन मद्दत गर्छ । अनि अर्को कुरा, जेब्रा क्रसिङ भएको ठाउँ खोज्नुपर्यो ।
अहिले सवारीसाधनको विकाससँगै यसलाई नियमित गर्ने प्रविधि पनि उत्तिकै विकास भएको छ । जस्तै कतारकै कुरा गर्ने हो भने यहाँ ट्राफिक प्रहरी देखिएन भनेर नियम उल्लंघन गर्नेले छुट पाउन सक्दैन । सडकमा राखिएका क्यामरा, राडारले अवलोकन गरिरहेको हुन्छ र त्यसले मान्छेले भन्दा चाँडो समाइदिन्छ । नेपालमा बायाँ बाटो, यहाँ दायाँ बाटो

एक त फाइन चर्को छ, फाइन परे एक महिना होइन कति महिना त्यसैले लागि काम गर्नुपर्छ । अर्को कुरा धनभन्दा पनि ज्यानकै सबाल छ । यसर्थ हामी असल चालक र असल पैदलयात्रु हुनु नै सबै अर्थमा सुरक्षित र उत्तम उपाय हो । 'चाँडो गए भन्न सकिँदैन, ढिलो गए अवश्य पुगिन्छ ।' सबैको यात्रा सुरक्षित होस् । शुभयात्रा ।

This is my story. I always imagined myself flying away to another country to meet my prince charming. I never really wanted the plain city life, where people don’t have time to stop for a second and think. I was always the more philosophical kind of girl, who liked to take long strolls and think about life and its meaning. That just means that I could never accomplish that in the city, where the air is polluted, and people run around in a disorderly fashion. And so, I take my journey away from the city and I'm off the Ireland.
As I board the plane to Ireland, I am writing in my journal about all the little things that make me happy. Writing makes me happy and allows me to keep my thoughts organized and clear, because when I’m having an off day, I always have a place to turn to let go of the daily stresses. On the plane, I see people around me ready to go on their vacations, or business trips, while I am just on my way to meet my prince. When I get off the plane, I take the taxi to the countryside, where the fields are green; flowers are blooming, and the air so crisp it makes you shiver. I get out of the taxi, and stop for a second to take in the beauty of another land, which is so foreign to me. I walk down the path, which will lead me to the place I will stay for 2 weeks. I can barely see where the house is, but nothing seems to faze me, as I am just so happy to be away.
